A couple months into my internship at Bill Colwell Ford my boss and I were approached with the opportunity to host an event and partner with a local charity to raise funds. The opportunity came from Ford headquarters. They wanted to give customers the chance to test drive the new Ford Fusion and test their judging skills with a virtual American Idol contest. Quite random, I know, but it was our job to see that this event was a hit. So we decided to turn it into a night where guests could prepare for the Holidays. The event was held right before Thanksgiving so the idea was that people could come and enjoy a free meal, take their family holiday photo, and write their wish list to family members or Santa! For each registered guest, Ford donated money to the Cedar Valley Hospice. We also held a raffle where people could win tickets to the Oster Regeant’s presentation of White Christmas and all the proceeds also went to Cedar Valley Hospice. Overall, the event was a great success and we raised $1,600 for Cedar Valley Hospice.
